Cesar

I see a big blue ocean quietly crash onto rocks like a feather falling on the floor
I see a sunset far away as the curtain of night fell on me
I hear the tall green trees cheerfully swaying in the wind
I hear beautiful songs from birds
I smell the oceans fresh breeze flowing in my direction
I smell the flowers great fragrance
I taste the berries on the bush and the flavor hit me like boom
I taste apples on the tree and the flavor hit me like pow
I feel like if something isn’t right, like if the walls are caving in
I feel myself waking up and as stiff necked I am, I wake up, as it will forever be a dream

Artist’s statement:
I wrote this poem because since we are in lockdown right now, it made me realize how much I took the outdoors and other things for granted.
